Citroën have announced details of their 2023 model year for the popular Dispatch van, with an emphasis on reducing lead times for customers through a streamlined product range. Key to this is a transition from the “Pro” trim level to a new “Edition” designation. In this article we look at what this means in terms of the difference between Pro and Edition, and the features that customers will enjoy in the new Enterprise Edition and Driver Edition models.

CITROEN DISPATCH M 145PS BHDI DRIVER EDITION

In the 2022 model year the base trim level for the Citroen Dispatch panel van was the X Pro, an affordable entry level offering good standard features for safety and security (such as remote central locking and full steel bulkhead), comfort and entertainment.

However, the Enterprise Pro was where the Dispatch took a step up in trim with features like the Moduwork® load-through system combining a bulkhead flap and folding passenger seat for extended storage space, plus a colour touchscreen with Apple and Android connectivity.

The top-of-the-range Driver Pro trim level expanded on the Enterprise Pro with several smart features for safety, including lane departure warning and intelligent speed adaptation.

In the new 2023 range, the choice is simplified to two “Edition” variants. The Enterprise Edition takes over from the Enterprise Pro and the Driver Pro is replaced by the Driver Edition.

The new trim levels largely inherit the same excellent feature sets as their respective predecessors. One clear distinction in the new line, however, is that to select the innovative Moduwork® system, your choice will now be the Driver Edition.

The Driver Edition trim level also boasts a look pack (comprising body-colour bumpers, rubbing strips and handles) and Citroen Connect Nav with 3-year free subscription to real time traffic, so it very much maintains its inherited position at the top of the Dispatch van range.

Wide choice of engine and load space options

CITROEN DISPATCH XL 100PS BHDI ENTERPRISE EDITION

Although streamlined in trim level choice, the Dispatch versions available in 2023 range still offer a wide range of options on powertrain and load space to ensure there’s a Citroen Dispatch van to suit every application.

Additionally, with ever stricter emissions control becoming more of a factor in choice of vehicle, the fully electric e-Dispatch is a great choice for greener motoring. It’s also highly practical, with the 75 kWh version offering up to 267 miles range on a single charge, conditions depending*.

In panel van form, the Dispatch Enterprise Edition comes in a choice of medium and XL lengths, with 10 versions offering a choice of economical diesels with manual or automatic gearboxes, plus four e-Dispatch versions with either 50 or 75 kWh electric motors. The Driver Edition offers a similar choice of diesel versions, but only the 75 kWh electric version is available.

Versions in the Crew van form include M & XL lengths with a choice of manual and automatic diesels and the 75 kWh electric unit in the Enterprise Edition, and a M length automatic diesel in the Driver Edition.

Citroen now offer the Dispatch in a choice of eight essential colours with white as standard, and metallic Cumulus Grey, Platinum Grey and Perla Nera Black as extra-cost options on the Enterprise Edition and Driver Edition. The optional Passion Red and Imperial Blue special paint colours are exclusive to the Driver Edition.

The selection of wheels comprises 16- and 17-inch steel wheels or the sporty “Curve” alloy as an exclusive option on the Driver option.
